Did Jesus Die for YOU Also?

Or is His Salvation only for certain people?

Christ did not die so a select few could be saved. He shed His sinless blood so that EVERY person, past, present, and future could know that if they believed and repented, they could be saved.

cross with dripping blood

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever1 believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. ~ John 3:16-17 emphasis added

We see that God loved theworld meaning the cosmos and everything in it including you and me. He loved us so much that He did not want any of us to perish and for that reason He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men2. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: ~ Titus 2:11 ~ Romans 1:20 emphasis added

Now some would have you believe that God had no intention of saving everyone, just those He selected beforehand. Over and over however the Bible message is that Christ died for ALL people, EVERY man, woman, and child, whether they are past, present, or future. Then God planted the knowledge of Him in our sub-conscious so that the evidence in His creation would ignite a spark within us. This is why young children who have not been influenced either way believe in God and so readily become excited when they learn of Jesus. From the very beginning of time as Paul informed the early church it was God's intent to save all who would turn to Him.

And to make all men3 see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: ~ Ephesians 3:9

In spite of the Calvinist doctrine that many believe and teach, the Christian Bible does not suggest or teach that Christ died only for a certain few, which were determined beforehand or any other time, leaving the rest of the sinners with no hope. According to those who pervert the message of the Bible, it is just too bad if you are not one of those chosen beforehand. Not much use in witnessing to the lost they say because God has ordained it that way and only the chosen will respond to the Gospel.

Friends, it is true that no one can respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ unless God give them a willing heart and open their understanding. However the Bible tells us that all who come to God in sincerity and ask, will receive. This writer has actually had pastors of churches tell me directly that it is a waste of time to witness to the lost. That my energies should be directed to the brothers and sisters in Christ and not to those who will never be saved. In my view this is a very self centered attitude lacking in compassion, not to mention no such doctrine is found in the true interpretation of the Bible.

Folks, those who teach such things have smooth words and well-rehearsed speeches while supposedly using Scripture to prove and support what they call truth, but there are two problems. What they teach is NOT what the WHOLE COUNSEL of God's Word teaches, and they only pick and choose their verses, while completely ignoring others or attempting to explain them away. Many arguments can sound convincing, but we must study in order to know what the Bible teaches and have the good sense to stay in context. We must pray and seek God's wisdom if we will escape the snares the devil has laid. And we MUST allow the Holy Spirit to lead us and to sharpen our discernment to know what is of God and what is not of Him.

There is no end to the different doctrines that can be created and argued, if a person picks and chooses verses while ignoring other verses. Of those in mainline Protestant Churches, most of those who are not Calvinist in their doctrines follow the teachings of the Armenian doctrine which is also a false teaching. Folks these teachings have only been around since the sixteen and seventeen hundreds! Surely it did not take over fifteen hundred years to figure out the true doctrine! So dear reader do not think we defend either of them and it should be clear that both teachings are a mixture of Bible and man-made doctrine and we know;

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. ~ Galatians 5:9

Therefore both teachings are fit only for the trash pile. It is truly sad that the majority in the world today who say they are Christian (Catholicism is not Christian according to the Bible regardless of what the Popes say), do devoutly adhere to, and or, attend a church that adheres to one or the other of these unholy doctrines. Folks, all we need is the Bible, a sincere heart, willingness to pray, and to trust the Holy Spirit. Trusting in men and depending on them for our understanding is dangerous. When we find a would be teacher is faithful to the Scriptures then it is fine and helpful to use their teachings to enlarge or refine our understanding but it is ALWAYS our responsibility to compare their words to the Bible at every turn. There should be no exceptions! Is it any wonder Christ asked;

...when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? ~ Luke 18:8b

Such an unbalanced approach to the Bible as the Calvinist or the Armenian doctrine is not honest, nor is it an accurate representation of God's message and shows no evidence of Holy Spirit influence. Therefore it is not from God even if everyone the reader knows subscribes to one or both doctrines, it is from man and we know man is influenced and tempted by the devil on every hand. In short it is the doctrine of demons chipping away at the Word and authority of God!

When anyone teaches that God's Salvation is only for a select few, they are in effect adding to and taking away from God's Holy Word and Revelation 22:18-19 warns of severe penalty for such persons.

Today, whether you find yourself a born again Spirit filled Christian, or a soul lost in sin and shame, please know that Christ died for you. I cannot stress enough that His door is open to you and He did not leave you here with no hope as some are apt to teach. If you are sincere in seeking Him then the answer is Yes! Jesus died for YOU and for EVERYONE who will come to Him and repent and be born again.
