Short Cuts Collection - presents:

Naming God

Some people use any name to refer to God except for the ones in the Bible.

A poster on another site made the accusation (as many do), that Christians are hypocrites because we do not follow the Levitical Laws of the Bible. He refused to mention the name of Jesus, Lord, or even God in any of his posts. However he did use another name which he claimed for God.

My Comment to him;

You are correct in that God did make it clear as to what was unclean ceremonially. However after the crucifixion of Christ it would no longer be counted as sin to eat those things. I did not say it was good or even wise to eat them. There are many things I will never eat as long as I have a choice.

I don't know who your "YAHUAH" is, it could be a demonic spirit for all you know. To be afraid to say or spell out the name of God is foolish superstition and delights the devil who hates to see or hear the name of his enemy God Almighty. My God referred to Himself as "I am" and He also said;

And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. ~ Exodus 3:15

I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. ~ Isaiah 42:8

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. ~ Exodus 6:3

Friends, we MUST be clear whom we are talking to, who it is we are summoning to meet our needs and who we praise and glorify. The devil is in the business of deceiving all who deviate from the printed Word of God! Beware! ~ JimO tiny cross
